Yemen is the battlefield of a proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Iran. The United States backs the Saudi-led coalition, meaning that United States support is essential to the continuation of the Saudi Arabian campaign that often continues to target civilian areas and civilian infrastructure, although this is a complete violation of international law. The United States and in particular defense and aerospace companies (such as Lockheed Martin and Boeing) have profited massively off of the Yemeni civil war, although they have essentially become directly complicit in war crimes. Call your representatives and pressure them to vote against the continued involvement of the United States in the Saudi-led coalition.
Call Congress at 202-224-3121 or via email and demand the US end its military support for the Saudi-led coalition and resume humanitarian aid to Yemen.
„My Name is ____ and I am a resident of [city, state, zip code]. I am calling to express my discontent with the situation in Yemen. I am calling on Congressperson / Senator ____ to support legislative action that will direct Biden to end U.S. support for the Saudi-led hostilities in Yemen and to ban arm sales to Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E. Additionally, I urge you to prioritize funding to humanitarian agencies, such as the World Food Programme and USAID, so that they can resume aid to Yemen. The people of Yemen are being bombed and starved. The US needs to end their involvement in causing this humanitarian crisis.
